Home Remedies for cracked heels

Don't you hate it when you walk around barefoot and your heels would just catch on your carpet? That is probably a sign for having to take care of your cracked heels even more seriously. Cracks on your heels occur when you have a build-up of thick, dry skin on your heels. One way to prevent this is by buffing way the dead skin regularly. However, here is some tips I've found to help you get rid of your cracked heels

  • Apply Vaseline on your heels and cover with socks. Do this every night before bedtime and leave it on overnight. You will see result pretty soon.
  • You can also try this recipe by mixing 1 tablespoon of ground almonds, 1 tablespoon of ground oatmeals, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 egg yolk. Apply the mixture over your feet and cover with socks and leave overnight.
  • Apply the pulp of a ripe banana on the dry or cracked area of the heel. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse it clean.
  • Soak the feet in lemon juice for about 10 minutes. Follow this therapy on a weekly basis until one finds a change.
