Home Remedies for oily hair

The principle of having oily hair is pretty much the same as having oily skin condition. You need to remove excess oils and exfoliate the skin cells that clog up and suffocate the hair follicles on your scalp. Watch on the cleansing routine. Oily scalp needs to be cleansed (as in washed) whenever it gets dirty and oily. To help reducing oil on your scalp without drying your hair, use a mild shampoo on one of these remedies:

• Blend 1/2 teaspoon of aloe vera gel and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice together with 1/4 cup of your shampoo. Wash hair then rinse well.
• Boil two handfuls of mint in one and a half glass of water for twenty minutes. Then strain the solution and add it to a 300 ml bottle of shampoo and mix.
• Another option is to mix a tablespoon of malt vinegar in a glass of water and add a pinch of salt. Then put two tablespoons on your scalp and massage it with your fingertips. Doing this twice a week and leaving the lotion in for one hour before rinsing with cool water, brushing and setting your hair will help reduce the oil on your scalp.
