Itching and flaking on the scalp? you are not alone.. almost everybody has to deal with dandruff problem at some point of her life. It is rarely serious, just a little embarrassing sometimes. The good about dandruff is that it can be controlled. Mild cases of dandruff may need nothing more than daily shampooing with a gentle cleanser. And stubborn flakes often respond to medicated shampoos. Anyways, these are some tips you can try to treat your dandruff problem:
- Apple cider vinegar – Mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 1/4 cup water. Pour into spray bottle and spritz onto your hair and scalp (avoiding the eyes) and wrap your head in a towel. Remove after 15 minutes to one hour and wash hair. Once to twice a week.
- Use 1 small jar of mayonnaise, apply evenly from root to tip. Wrap your hair with warm towel and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash with your regular shampoo and warm water.
- You can use warm olive oil and apply it on your scalp. Wrap your hair with a shower cap and leave it overnight. Wash with your regular shampoo in the morning.
- Dissolve 10-15 aspirin in 1/2 cup of warm water. After shampooing, massage this into your scalp and leave it on for 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly.
- Mix 1 part of antiseptic mouthwash and 2 parts of distiled water. Apply with a cotton ball, parting hair inch by inch across your scalp, front to back. Dab the saturated cotton along the parts. Leave on for 30 minutes; shampoo normally.
